Windows Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 Released

27 August 2008

Microsoft has released the new Beta 2 version of Windows Internet Explorer 8.

Features of the new version include:

  • A Smart Address Bar which matches what a user types with titles in the history as well as content in their favourites and feeds.
  • Enhanced find functionality and result highlighting.
  • A redesigned tab page and tab group support.
  • The ability to open the last browsing session.
  • More privacy protection including InPrivate Browsing which ensures that history, temporary Internet files and cookies are not recorded on a user's PC after browsing, and InPrivate Blocking which lets users block content coming from third parties that are in a position to track and aggregate their online behavior.

The Beta version is available to download from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/beta/ .
