Web-based game developers have opportunity to serve Google ads

08 October 2008

Google has announced the beta version of AdSense for Games.

AdSense for Games allows Google's AdSense ads to be served directly within Web-based games, thereby helping to increase a game's revenue potential.

Video, image and text ads are supported, and can be displayed where the developer chooses, such as before a game begins, after a level change or when the game is over.

Ads will be sold to top brand advertisers.

The beta version is available to eligible Google AdSense publishers who have a minimum of 500,000 game plays, with 80% of their traffic coming from the U.S. or the U.K.
