2.97sec start-up time for embedded Linux

Engineers at Lineo Solutions in Japan have announced the release of a quick-start solution for embedded Linux that they claim can start within 2.97 seconds.

Called Warp!!2, the solution is intended for use in consumer electronics devices and industrial instruments.

The company will hold a demonstration of Warp!!2 at the Embedded Technology 2008 at Pacifico Yokohama, Japan, from 19 to 21 November.
