New iPhone 3GS introduced

08 June 2009

Apple has introduced the new iPhone 3GS, which it claims to be the fastest and most powerful iPhone yet.

Apple says the new iPhone is up to twice as fast as the iPhone 3G and has longer battery life, a high-quality 3 megapixel autofocus camera, easy to use video recording and hands free voice control.

The iPhone 3GS includes the new iPhone OS 3.0. The new operating system has over 100 new features including the ability for users to finally be able to cut, copy, and paste.

The voice control feature offers hands free operation for both the device's iPhone and iPod functions.

The OpenGL ES 2.0 standard is used to create high quality 3D graphics and enhance the look of games.

The iPhone 3GS will be available in the US on 19 June for a suggested retail price of US$199 for the 16GB model and US$299 for the 32GB model. iPhone 3GS will also be available in more than 80 countries in the coming weeks.
