Software Industry Professionals was founded in May 2006 as an initiative of Multimedia Australia. Multimedia Australia covers the cost of all standard memberships, making it free to be a member. Members also have the option of accessing additional benefits by upgrading to a Gold and Silver membership. Multimedia Australia is also responsible for running and maintaining the Software Industry Professionals' website network.
